Initiatives to Achieve SDGs

Contributing to achieving SDGs through the copro group’s growth strategy and “human resource development”

The copro group’s principal business is temporary staffing and paid job placement targeted mainly to the construction industry and production plant businesses. Along with generating employment, an important theme for us is “human resource development” through various types of education and training. We pursue a variety of business activities under this theme.

We recognize that all of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as defined below, relate closely to our business processes and that achieving all the goals is essential for realizing our growth strategy. Recognizing that these SDGs contribute to the sustainable growth of the company, we wish to help in fulfilling the SDGs by steadily implementing the following initiatives.

Human resource creation process

1.What are SDGs?

Sustainable Development Goals

The world (earth) is facing a variety of social challenges, such as conflict, poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation. In light of this, the U.N. has formulated 17 goals (themes), referred to as “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs), defining important issues to be resolved by 2030. By working to achieve these goals in collaboration with people all over the world, we aim to help resolve social issues and shape a global society in which no one is left behind. This is a sign to show that instead of just “doing our best for our own happiness,” we are “collaborating for the happiness of the whole society and whole world.”

2.Defining the action priorities (goals) of the copro group

  • AUQLITY EDUCATION
  • DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH
  • INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE
  • REDUCED INEQUALITIES
  • RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION
  • To achieve the SDGs, the copro group has assessed and analyzed the goals in accordance with two axes—the concerns of our stakeholders and business relevance—to determine the priority of the issues we need to address.

3.Our measures and indicators for each SDG
