As the society ages and fewer children are born, the decline in the worker population is viewed as a problem in Japan. While construction industry has seen growth in investment in construction since 2011, the number of workers is decreasing year after year. Moreover, the construction industry is experiencing a more rapid pace of worker aging and fewer young workers than all industries as whole and the shortage of people is becoming a serious problem. We therefore need to provide a way for inexperienced people as well as experienced people to actively contribute.

COPRO refers to human resources as human assets. We are developing people with the aim of helping them grow into professionals with high aspirations. COPRO develops human assets who can contribute actively in different areas through training aimed at achieving the appropriate career and career vision for each employee.

Main Initiatives of the COPRO Group

(1) Training for inexperienced personnel
(2) Operation of proprietary “Kantoku no Tane” training centers

(1) Training for inexperienced personnel

We have prepared basic training in technical skills for people who have no experience in industries such as construction industry and site supervision work. Such skills include how to read design drawings and technical terminology. We have also incorporated communication training on building good relationships with site management and workers as a site supervisor, and follow-up with them before placement.

(2) Operation of proprietary “Kantoku no Tane” training centers

We have established three “Kantoku no Tane” training centers in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka to train COPRO engineers.
